Isaac cut his first tooth on June 10! He was just 10 days behind big sis, and then she cut her second literally within hours of his first. It is a tight race, folks!
Getting Isaac's first tooth pictures (toothpicks?) took two rounds. It's not an easy shot to get, even for a dentist and his lovely assistant. Jared thinks Round 1 (see right) looks like we're torturing our child. But, Isaac will appreciate these someday (assuming he has a good sense of humor), and also, it reminds me of this awesome part in a show that I'm kind of embarrassed to admit I've watched a few times and thought was pretty funny. Cougar Town-- aaaaahh I said it! So, if you're really trying to kill some time, this is for you... Maybe if I looked harder I could find just the 20-second clip, but here's the episode; the part is from 5:55 to 6:15. ("Okay, I'm just gonna show you the mouth, ready?") Few shows really make me laugh anymore, but this was one of those moments that did.
Please don't think we're terrible parents. I promise we were gentle.

Okay, That is hilarious! But, I think the sound effects of "the mouth" were the best part. I am pretty sure your kids made more of a whinning than a bear growling, after all they are only 6 months old. But, still the resemblence is striking! So glad they are getting their teeth! Are you managing the crankyness okay? I am sure you are, you are the most chill mom I know! I hope they are being nice to that chill mommy when they are nursing!

ReplyDeleteHaha, Isaac's jammies remind me of LA. They say "traffic." Good thing he can't read, or else he'd probably feel stressed out or get road rage at bedtime.

ReplyDeleteThey are totally cute. I can't believe they're getting teeth already. Caleb still has no teeth, although he's been chewing on everything since he was 3 weeks old.
ReplyDeleteA toothless baby is NOT a bad thing. Bethany's teeth are little razors. Fortunately, I've only been bitten on the thumb. So far.

ReplyDeleteOh, they are cute kids! Love the tooth pictures too. I never thought of trying to pry Aubrey's mouth open to get a picture of her firth tooth, but I think it's a great idea! And I think the pictures look like a dental professional was indeed at the helm of the project.
