Last week Jared spent a few days with an advertising consultant who's going to produce Jared's marketing materials (business cards, website, building sign, etc) and help with interior design and overall image for the orthodontic practice he's building. Our very own Don Draper. On one of those days Jared called me and said they were going to shoot some pictures that afternoon for the website and he wanted me to bring the kids. That meant I had the rest of that naptime to shower/make-up/dress myself, throw some outfits together for the kids that didn't clash with what I remembered Jared to be wearing, clean the house and prepare a meal because oh, Don would be joining us afterwards for dinner. Sure, I'm the kind of mom that can pull any one of those things--let alone ALL of them-- together at a moment's notice. (There should be some seriously heavy sarcasm read into that last statement.)
If you're wondering how this recipe for disaster turned out, here's a hint: someone fell flat on their face.
With Santa Paula as our backdrop, here we are:
I told you someone fell flat on their face! What, you thought it was me?? (Isaac got up laughing, BTW. And then proceeded to do it 10 more times. And 10 more the next time we saw grass.)
I *LOVE* them. Bold starred all caps red hot love them. Scratch all my plans for a Christmas card. Christmas cards are done, yo.
...
And dinner was pretty good too.
For a day, just one day only, I was that kind of mom. Man that felt good! Now I know how all my friends feel every day!
Your hair is too cute! And I love the one of you and Bethany best of all!
ReplyDeleteYou're a regular Betty Draper! Love the haircut. And I laughed out loud at the face plant. Classic. Please use that for your card.
ReplyDeleteI am pretty sure you are super mom everyday having two toddlers. Your haircut is really cute!
ReplyDeleteI would definitely want Jared to put my braces on after seeing those pictures!
ReplyDeleteThose photos seriously turned out beautifully. Of course, it doesn't hurt that your family is beautiful. :)
ReplyDeleteStop it some more---these are out-of-control cute. Your hair looks so fun and sassy, I hope you're loving it. And those kids! Forget ortho, cash in on baby modeling. My fav is Jared looking over his shoulder at Isaac.
ReplyDeleteThe face plant photo makes me think that Isaac and Mark would get along REALLY WELL if they lived in the same town. Too funny. Let us know when the website is up and running.
ReplyDeletehaha...love the last one. Great pics! Your family is so cute!
ReplyDeleteThose are so cute! The face plant is classic. I love it.
ReplyDeleteDeb!!! Your hair!!! Darling, darling, darling. You look bee-U-tiful! The pictures are ubercute. Love the one of Jared and Bethany.
ReplyDeleteOh, and the one of Bethany and Isaac hunting is to die for.
ReplyDeleteHugging (stupid autocorrect!)
ReplyDeleteHaha, I was trying so hard to remember them hunting. I didn't remember bringing rifles...
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone, glad you like 'em! Hope you don't mind seeing them again at Christmas!
Great pictures! Keep up the great work. I believe that you are that kind of mom every day.
ReplyDeleteSometimes the pictures I plan for the least turn out the best. Which makes no sense and something that cannot be repeated which is so annoying. But so true. Not totally spur of the moment, because I think coordinating outfits is key, but just a quick decision. I am so so glad you love them and that your christmas cards are done! What a relief. I love them too and have looked at this post several times since. :-)
